ABOUT:
Monolit translates the properties of Dries Van Noten’s fall 2005 ready to wear collection into a new built object. shapes, lines, and contours seen in dresses, shirts, and pants, are subjects for inspiration. A light is placed in the center of the final design to bring the table to life, just as Van Noten’s clothes develop shape when they are worn. As a final presentation method, Monolit is the focal point of a short movie- a ‘fashion show’ of sorts.
